Shaheed Mangal Pandey Govt. Girls PG College is situated at the pious land from where the first Clarion Call was ignited for the War of Independence. The city possess vibrant Historical, Cultural and Mythological characteristics holding a place of prominence coupled with the manifold segments of multi-lingual and multi-cultural segments as well.

The sole purpose of Education is to teach social and cultural learnings along with a scientific understanding to a student. An educational institution is the most dignified place wherein a student’s over all personality development is done.

Henceforth, SMP Govt. Girls PG College is an exemplary one in this context as it’s sincerely and honestly dedicated to work for the betterment of all the girl students by attending to their academic and personal issues at the same time.

This college has all the core faculties inclusive of of Arts, Science, Commerce & B.Ed too.

It’s a matter of great pride to share that ours is the only Govt college affiliated to CCS University in Uttar Pradesh State that is not only successfully providing exclusive subjects like Drawing & Painting & Music but also is the first college to cater Post Graduation degree in Physical Education.

Department of Teacher’s Education is another feather in the cap of our college which is decorating our B.Ed academics for last many years since 2006.

The teachers of the college not only contribute effectively towards academics but also actively participate in the enhancement of cultural and literary dimensions as well benefitting the students by their 100 percent development.

Our faculty members being selected and appointed by the most prestigious Government body i.e., Public Service Commission; the intellectual status of faculty members is sound and learned and is constantly engaged in the development of future generations with all its vigour. The faculty also relentlessly keep themselves involved in imparting value based education so as to imbibe good conduct in each student of the college.

The college has all social service, community & disciplinary units like NSS, RANGERS, NCC, ECO Club and CAREER COUNSELLING Cell. The Educational tours are a part of academics and skill enhancement schemes are also in practice.

Medha, an NGO associated with our college to impart Computer Proficiency and A collaboration of Rotary Club Meerut Stars, Meerut and Singer Machines Ltd ran sewing courses for the college students.

By the grace of The Goddess Maa Saraswati, the college is effectively functioning by catering the noble vision and a strong mission of preparing the students as a responsible, thoughtful and law abiding citizen so as to contribute their best for the development of our nation, India.
